Back the Vision: Build the Jabulani Future

The challenges in the deeply rural areas around Zithulele, on the Wild Coast of South Africa, are multiple and varied. Jabulani Rural Health Foundation has been partnering with communities in the area since 2007, implementing initiatives as diverse as the challenges themselves. Whether providing HIV treatment, opening preschools, delivering home-based disability support, removing waste and recycling, or providing skills-for-work training, Jabulani’s mission has always been the same: to provide opportunities for rural people to discover their potential and thrive.

Despite the impact made over 18 years, 2025 has been a “make or break” year. Intensified by ever-increasing funding challenges across the globe, Jabulani’s journey this year has been tough. But drawing from experience and input from their community, they are using this season to renew their strategy, honing their focus on job skills and work readiness, and maximizing opportunities for families to develop the skills, tools, and knowledge required for sustainable, dignified futures.

Jabulani must raise $100,000 by December 31, 2025, to keep services running, ensure continuity, and expand training and tailored support for those who need it most.
